Background Story
Big Community living in This Small World
This painting describes our world in a nutshell, the painting is about how in our world everything is controlled by our Lord, the one and only, the only merciful....Allah. The hand represents his hand as a whole who controls us and everything we have in our world. We as his people live in his world he built, thus representing the community between the fingers. And how each community is different based on colour, creed, religion who are separated by cultural, language and many more differences. Even if we are separated by our cultural differences we still as Allah's people and will come together or have to in the end.
These barriers separates us from being a big community. Then within them there are smaller groups that have a different language or social stature that they voice out and that's what they represent as being a smaller community.
Our world is one big community has many things in common that we as people know but don't see, looking at it in bird's eye view gives people a perspective on this world being so Small yet we make it so big with all our differences and helps us to see that we only have one Rabb who controls us and has put us together and made us equal. So we need to rise above our differences that we have created ourselves and come together as one abs live as* One Big Community living in a This Small World. *
The darkness of the hand explains the no impurities in this world. This world was meant to be clean and pure based on love and passion for others, understanding of each other's needs but our differences and behaviours that we show in attitudes towards others turned it into darkness.
